Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has responded to player feedback and reversed a recent change to the Zombies Directed Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The January 3rd update introduced alterations to the Citadelle des Morts map's Directed Mode, specifically extending the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds. This proved unpopular with the community, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion. Concerns arose about potential further limitations to XP and rewards, but Treyarch has reassured players that isn't the case.
The January 9th patch notes confirm the reversal of the spawn delay change, restoring it to approximately 20 seconds after five loops. Additional fixes address bugs and glitches in Citadelle des Morts Directed Mode, ensuring smoother quest progression. Issues with visual effects and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud have also been resolved.
This update also significantly buffs the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have all received boosts, along with a 25% cooldown reduction.
Further bug fixes and adjustments are slated for the Black Ops 6 Season 2 update on January 28th. Until then, players can still work towards completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.
