Remedy Entertainment's annual report reveals significant progress on several key projects. Control 2 has cleared the concept validation phase and entered full production, marking a major step forward. This follows the advancement of two other titles, FBC: Firebreak and the Max Payne 1+2 remakes, from the preparation to active development stages. However, the Tencent collaboration, Project Kestrel, has been cancelled.
All projects utilize Remedy's Northlight engine, previously showcased in Alan Wake 2 and other successful titles. Control 2, budgeted at €50 million, will be self-published by Remedy and released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. FBC: Firebreak, with a €30 million budget, will launch on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, alongside Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, they are confirmed as AAA titles with full development and marketing funding provided by Rockstar Games.
