The Last Knight is an engaging side quest in Wuthering Waves' Rinascita region, offering a refreshing change of pace from the main storyline and larger exploration quests. It provides a deeper look into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a variety of rewarding bonuses for players.
This quest, while simpler than quests like Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms in WuWa, is quicker and less demanding to complete. Below is a detailed walkthrough of The Last Knight to guide you through the journey.
Starting The Last Knight Quest
To begin The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing quest. We highly recommend completing the main storyline before diving into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are locked until you finish Chapter 2 Act 3.
Once the main quest is completed, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo near the first house adjacent to the main road exiting the town. He will be marked with a blue quest marker on your map.
The Night Reveries
The Night Reveries are special performances honoring a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. To progress in this quest, you'll need to participate by defeating the Mad Knight, among other tasks.
The Mad Knight appears exclusively at night. Advance the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, then head to the central pool in town. This enemy isn't particularly challenging, so unleash your full arsenal until it's defeated.
The Last Knight: Mimic Chests
After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town, then glide to where Carlow is, as indicated by the quest marker. You'll find him unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance, where you must identify the mimic chest among others.
The first three supply chests you encounter are safe to open. However, in the next group, only one chest is real, while the others are mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items. Be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack afterward.
The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent
After recovering from the effects of the purple flower, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations reportedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This part of the quest involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.
Upon speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent emanating from somewhere nearby. Follow the quest marker uphill, where you'll face a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively.
After defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth; instead, he and other Windmill Keepers have been the true protectors of Whisperwind Haven. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.
Find Carlow
Return to Egla Town during the day to find Carlow in one of the town's plazas. You'll discover him being taunted by two knights. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to protect others and challenges one of the knights to a duel, letting go of his idealized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a guardian.
The quest concludes with Carlow's duel request, after which you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and various resources. This will mark The Last Knight as completed in your Tales of the Isles event log.
