Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite game, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. This title serves as a spiritual successor to Frenken's successful 2020 release, Herodom. Developed over two years by the part-time developer, Battledom closely resembles his initial vision for Herodom.

Battledom introduces flexible RTS battle mechanics, allowing players to freely maneuver units across the game map. Engage enemies from afar, manually aiming and firing siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic formations enhance the gameplay, adding a layer of tactical depth.

Players earn coins to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. However, the ability to customize units with a range of weapons and armor significantly impacts their stats, including range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering is key. Players must collect materials like wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft these essential upgrades at the blacksmith, magician, or other specialized crafters.

Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating. This tower defense game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150 units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Players can also unlock various hairstyles, body types, crops, and animals for their in-game farm.

Join the Battledom Alpha by downloading TestFlight on your iOS device. For updates and news, follow Sander Frenken on X or Reddit, or explore his other games on the App Store.
