Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed once more, with a new release window set for October 2025. This announcement was made on the game's official Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update from the development team. The game, eagerly anticipated by fans, continues to face challenges in its journey to completion.
Paradox Focusing On Bug Fixing, Stability, and Performance
In the latest update, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared that the core development of the game is complete. The team is now dedicating their efforts to bug fixing, stability, and performance enhancements to ensure the best possible experience for players upon release. This focus underscores Paradox's commitment to delivering a polished product.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been engaging with the community through Dev Diaries, which provided insights into the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to concentrate fully on improving the game, all Dev Diaries have been paused temporarily.
First Revealed in 2019
Originally unveiled in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially slated for a March 2020 release. Developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time, the game faced its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, which was later extended to 2021. During this period, the project saw multiple lead departures, which added to the development challenges.
In a significant shift, Paradox Interactive announced in February 2021 that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and The Chinese Room would take over the development. This transition brought new hope for the game, with an expected release in late 2024, which was subsequently pushed back to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is now set to launch in October 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For those eager to stay updated on the game's progress, be sure to check out our article below for the latest news and developments.
