Pokémon GO's Max Out Season Introduces Dynamax Pokémon
Get ready for a gigantic Pokémon GO adventure! Niantic has officially confirmed the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of the upcoming Max Out season, running from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time.
This exciting update brings Dynamax battles to the forefront, featuring 1-star Max Battles with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Trainers can catch these Dynamax Pokémon, including their evolved forms, and even encounter Shiny variants. The event also includes special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards.
A dedicated Seasonal Special Research story will debut, offering rewards like Max Particles and a new avatar item. This Special Research will be available from September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. local time to December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
For those eager to jump into the action, a Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT.
Further enhancing the experience, rumors suggest the introduction of Power Spots next month—key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't officially confirmed this, the potential addition promises even more exciting gameplay.
Interestingly, Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted at the possibility of some Dynamax Pokémon also being capable of Mega Evolution (as reported by Eurogamer). However, the inclusion of Gigantamax Pokémon remains unconfirmed, despite previous teases. Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon.
