Valve has returned from their New Year holidays, and game developers are now rolling out exciting new patches across various titles. While Deadlock fans were expecting a substantial update following the shift from its bi-weekly cycle, Valve opted for a lighter start to the year. The latest patch focused on a single hero, Yamato, who received a slight nerf, including a reduction in damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Additionally, abilities such as Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were weakened, and Alchemical Fire underwent a minor rework.

Given the size of this patch, it's probable that players will need to wait for a more comprehensive update. Unfortunately, predicting when that might happen is currently challenging.
It's important to highlight that Deadlock has experienced a decline in its player base recently. This might be attributed to the current popularity of Marvel Rivals. However, maintaining a consistent online player count between 7,000 and 19,000 for a game in deep beta is commendable. Keep in mind, Valve has not yet disclosed any potential release dates or information about the game's monetization model.
