This app requires a separate ELM327 Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter to function as a car scanner. Piston supports OBD-II (OBDII, OBD2), and EOBD standards. OBD2 compliance is mandated for US vehicles since 1996. In the EU, EOBD was mandated for petrol cars from 2001 and diesel cars from 2004. Australia and New Zealand require OBD2 for petrol cars from 2006 and diesel cars from 2007.
Important: Piston only accesses data your vehicle provides via the OBD2 standard.
