The Peak Hunters application is your ultimate companion for mountain enthusiasts, featuring a continuously expanding database of peaks across the Czech Republic and several neighboring countries. With the GPS functionality on your mobile device, you can log your ascents and earn points based on the mountain's altitude and the difficulty of the climb. Enhance your experience by adding personal ratings and photos to each peak you conquer. The app displays all peaks clearly on the map, allowing you to filter them by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location. To ensure you're never lost, even in remote areas, you can download offline map data, which is based on OpenStreetMap and includes tourist routes. If you discover a peak missing from our database or plan to visit a new hill, simply long-press on the map to submit it. Once approved, the peak will be added to the database, and you'll earn bonus points for your contribution. Peak Hunters also offers an expanding set of statistics and collectible badges. Keep your badges as mementos, and receive special congratulations for rare ones. For each peak, you can access up-to-date weather forecasts, aiding in your trip planning with projections up to 48 hours ahead. Another innovative feature is the ability to identify mountain peaks by simply pointing your phone at them, with the correct distance filter set. You can also use the app in an anonymous mode. In incognito mode, the app functions the same, but you won't be able to transfer your profile to other devices, log out, or recover your profile if your device is lost or data is corrupted. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode before switching to a registered profile. The application is free of ads and fees, born from the passion of a traveler seeking a comprehensive tool for peak collection with offline map capabilities. You can now manually switch between dark and light modes, with settings available on the user profile screen.
