WoW Patch 11.1: Automatic Conversion of Bronze Celebration Tokens
Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert any remaining Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion applies a 1:20 exchange rate, granting players 20 Timewarped Badges for each unused token. This change ensures players won't be left with obsolete currency after the recent 20th-anniversary event concluded.
The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, spanning 11 weeks, concluded recently. Players earned Bronze Celebration Tokens to purchase revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Excess tokens could be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, used in Timewalking events.
Blizzard's community manager, Linxy, confirmed this automatic conversion in a forum post. The conversion will occur upon a player's first login after Patch 11.1 launches. Blizzard stated there are no future plans to utilize Bronze Celebration Tokens.
The exact release date for Patch 11.1 remains unannounced, but a February 25th release is highly probable. This date aligns with Blizzard's recent update schedule, considering the holiday season and the timing of in-game events like Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways.
Consequently, the token conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event ends. This seven-week event offers ample opportunities to spend Timewarped Badges across various Timewalking campaigns. All Timewarped Badge rewards will remain accessible in future events, allowing players to save their converted currency.
