Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC's Blessing of Marika: A Mimic Tear Game Changer
Many Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC players overlook a game-changing mechanic: equipping the Blessing of Marika allows your Mimic Tear summon to fully heal itself during challenging boss fights. The Blessing of Marika's utility has been debated since the DLC's release, with many players mistakenly consuming it, believing it to be a single-use item.
The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has received mixed Steam reviews, with criticisms focusing on loot quality, underwhelming open-world sections, and overall difficulty. For struggling players, the Blessing of Marika offers significant assistance.
As highlighted by Twitch streamer ZiggyPrincess, the Blessing of Marika's true potential lies in its interaction with the Mimic Tear. Unlike the previously limited Raw Meat Dumpling (50% HP restoration), the Blessing of Marika provides full HP regeneration for your summon.
Using the Blessing of Marika with the Mimic Tear:
Simply equip the Blessing of Marika to your Quick Items slot (where Flasks, Spectral Seeds, and Spirit Summons reside). Upon summoning the Mimic Tear, it will automatically utilize the Blessing for complete HP restoration as needed. Importantly, the Mimic Tear has unlimited access to the Blessing of Marika once equipped.
The Blessing of Marika's early appearance in the Gravesite Plains has caused confusion, its flask-like appearance leading to accidental consumption. Fortunately, multiple Blessings can be obtained; players who used their first one can acquire more by defeating a Tree Sentinel or finding it at the Fort of Reprimand.
