Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making these detectors crucial for gameplay.
Echo Detector: The Starter Detector
The Echo Detector is your starting device. This small, yellow device features a central light tube that pulses when an artifact is nearby. The intensity of the pulsing and beeping indicates proximity to the artifact. While functional, pinpointing the exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience
Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector. It provides a visual distance indicator using concentric rings around its display. The rings illuminate progressively as you approach the artifact, fully illuminating when you're at the artifact's spawn point.
Hilka Detector: Precision Artifact Detection
Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values corresponding to the artifact's position within the anomalous zone. Decreasing numbers signal closer proximity.
Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Detection
The Veles Detector, earned as a reward for completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission, is the most advanced detector. Its radar display precisely locates artifacts within anomalous fields and also highlights dangerous anomalies in the vicinity, enhancing player safety.
