Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the "Beyond Colors" update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to UNO! Mobile, Skip-Bo Mobile, and Phase 10: World Tour.
Instead of relying on traditional color cues, these decks utilize simple shapes – squares, triangles, circles, and stars – to represent the different colors. This allows players with colorblindness to easily distinguish between cards.
The developer collaborated with colorblind gamers to create these inclusive decks, ensuring consistent symbol usage across all three games. Enabling the Beyond Colors decks is straightforward: access your in-game account settings via your avatar and select the new deck theme.
This initiative aims to broaden accessibility for the estimated 300 million colorblind individuals globally. Mattel163 has committed to making 80% of its game portfolio colorblind-accessible by 2025.
UNO! Mobile offers the classic card-matching gameplay, Phase 10: World Tour presents a phase-completion challenge, and Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique solitaire experience. All three games are available on the App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit the official Mattel163 website or follow them on Facebook.
