UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being unavailable, TikTok has resumed operations in the U.S.
"In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is actively restoring its service," the company announced via a statement on X/Twitter. "We express our gratitude to President Trump for his clear support and assurance to our service providers, ensuring they can continue offering TikTok to more than 170 million Americans without fear of repercussions. This decision also supports over 7 million small businesses that rely on our platform.
"This move underscores a commitment to the First Amendment and opposition to unjust censorship. We look forward to working with President Trump to develop a sustainable solution that will keep TikTok accessible in the United States."
