This month, mobile 4X strategy game The Battle of Polytopia will make esports history with its first-ever Tesla-exclusive tournament. Two Tesla owners will compete at OWN Valencia, a digital entertainment tournament in Spain, using their vehicles' onboard entertainment systems.
This isn't as unusual as it sounds. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is a known fan of The Battle of Polytopia, and the game's popularity within the Tesla community is significant.
The tournament will be hosted by Spanish gaming personalities Revol Aimar and BaleGG, directly on the Tesla's touchscreen. Tesla's in-car entertainment system offers a wide selection of mobile games.
A Unique Event
While this likely won't spark a widespread trend of Tesla-based esports, it's a noteworthy event. The strong sense of community among Tesla owners mirrors the passion found in other niche collector groups.
