Finnish game developer Supercell has surprised fans with a twist on their cancelled RPG, Clash Heroes. Instead of a simple revival, they've announced Project R.I.S.E., a completely new social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe.
The Full Story:
Clash Heroes is officially cancelled, confirming earlier rumors. However, Supercell is giving the game a second life as Project R.I.S.E. Game lead Julien Le Cadre stated that while Clash Heroes is defunct, Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG.
For more details, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. shares similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up (three-player squads) to ascend The Tower, facing unique challenges on each floor. Unlike its predecessor's PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay and diverse character selection.
Currently in pre-alpha, the first playtest for Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
