Stellar Blade's 1.009 Update: New Content and Unexpected Bugs
Shift Up's highly anticipated update for Stellar Blade, introducing Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, has unfortunately brought along some game-breaking glitches. Players are reporting softlocks in a main quest and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie function. Additionally, some new cosmetic items aren't rendering correctly.
The developers are actively working on a hotfix to address these issues. They advise players to avoid pushing through the affected quest until the patch is released, as attempting to do so could lead to a permanent softlock.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
The update delivers a substantial amount of new content, most notably the NieR: Automata crossover. This collaboration, born from the mutual respect between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, offers 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire these rewards.
The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature. To complement Photo Mode, four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after a specific ending) affecting Tachy Mode have been added. A "No Ponytail" option has also been included for greater customization. Other improvements include lip-sync for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim, and various smaller bug fixes.
