Stardew Valley offers a diverse range of activities, from farming and mining to fishing. But did you know you can also craft delicious preserves? This guide shows you how to make Spice Berry Jelly.
Getting the Preserves Jar
The Preserves Jar, crucial for making jelly (and other preserves like pickles and caviar), is unlocked in two ways:
- Farming Level 4: Reach this farming level to automatically unlock the Preserves Jar.
- Community Center Bundle: Complete the Quality Crops Bundle. This requires submitting three gold-quality crops (pumpkins, melons, corn, or parsnips), with five of each selected crop. All must have the gold quality star.
Once you have the Preserves Jar, making Spice Berry Jelly is easy!
Making Spice Berry Jelly
Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Gather Spice Berries: Find them in the wild during Summer, or year-round in the Farm Cave. You can also use a Seed Maker to create Summer Seeds for planting.
- Build (or Obtain) a Preserves Jar: Requires 50 Wood, 40 Stone, and 8 Coal, unless you obtained it via the Community Center bundle.
- Create the Jelly: Place a Spice Berry into the Preserves Jar. It takes approximately two to three in-game days (54 hours) to complete. Start this process before going on a long break from your farm. The jar will pulse while the jelly is being made.
- Collect Your Jelly: Once ready, the Spice Berry Jelly icon will appear above the jar. Collect it! Enjoy your energy boost, or sell it for 160 gold.
Making jelly is a profitable and rewarding addition to your Stardew Valley farming endeavors, contributing to a thriving farm and a fulfilling life in the valley.
