Sega unleashes a wave of Sonic mobile game updates timed with the imminent release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Across various platforms, including Apple Arcade, App Store, and Google Play, players can expect fresh content inspired by the upcoming film.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition boasts three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other iconic characters. Experience the cinematic tie-in before hitting the theaters!
Next, Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade gets its update on December 18th, adding Shadow the Hedgehog as a playable character with unique abilities. Unlock him by completing Tails’ Challenges. Master Shadow's Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers to manipulate time, freezing enemies and the environment.
This update also introduces new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, along with exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift, for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks enhance the experience, while a revamped tutorial streamlines the learning curve for newcomers.
Lastly, Sonic Dash sprints into action on December 20th, allowing players to collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges offer additional rewards. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
