The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled their celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser subtly hinted at the series' first two installments, sparking fervent fan speculation about a potential return of these classics. Although unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a possible announcement later this week: digital PC releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console versions remains open, and the timing of such a release is yet to be determined. Given the potential for capitalizing on nostalgic demand, it seems improbable that EA would forgo this lucrative opportunity.
The Sims 1 and 2 are quite dated, and currently, legitimate ways to play them are extremely limited. A re-release would undoubtedly be a welcome gift for countless devoted fans.
