My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows. I dive in enthusiastically with each new set release and stay active while chasing Emblems by accumulating around 40 wins. Once that goal is met, my engagement shifts to daily log-ins, pack openings, and a fun round of Wonder Pick before I move on to other activities. This pattern is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, slated for March 27th.
Shining Revelry will enrich the TCG Pocket with 110 new cards, encompassing a variety of Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards fans adore. The highlight of this expansion is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon—unique, differently colored versions of our beloved creatures. Think of Lucario with a striking yellow hue instead of its usual blue, or Pachirisu flaunting a charming pink stripe.
The trailer, which you can view below, teases what's in store. A standout is the new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack named Steam Artillery that inflicts 150 damage. However, it comes with a hefty requirement of five energy cards. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy at once, smoothing out the energy challenge.
Another exciting addition is the Lucario Ex, which previously played a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready for frontline combat with 150 HP and an impactful attack, Aura Sphere. For three Fighting Energy, it delivers 100 damage and can hit an opponent's Benched Pokemon for an additional 30 damage.
The trailer also showcases other noteworthy cards like Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom, all of which look fantastic. There's also a captivating Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
