A new roguelike word game, Letterlike, is challenging word game enthusiasts! Blending elements of Balatro and Scrabble, Letterlike offers a unique combination of vocabulary skills and roguelike unpredictability.
Word Crafting in Letterlike
As a roguelike, each Letterlike playthrough presents a different set of letters and challenges, all procedurally generated. The endless possibilities lead to endless opportunities for success.
Each game begins with a letter set. Your mission: create words, earn points, and progress through levels. Each level consists of three rounds.
To advance, you must score enough points by forming words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round, so choose your words carefully!
Stuck with unhelpful letters? You can discard some, but discards are limited, demanding strategic choices.
A rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creation.
The final round of each level introduces a twist: some letters become worthless, yielding zero points.
Earned points and rewards unlock helpful items to enhance future runs. Some buffs are automatic, while others require reaching specific levels. Collected gems also facilitate powerful upgrades, easing subsequent challenges.
Ready to Play?
Letterlike boasts a simple, minimalist, yet engaging design. The game allows replaying specific runs with friends using shared seeds—share those frustrating letter combinations and let your friends experience the same!
The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and offers offline play. A free demo version is available for those who want to try before they buy. Find Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a shot!
