The first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just released Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the thrilling Bridge map to its ever-growing arsenal of content. Developer Nosniy Games outlined these new additions in the patch notes for today's update, which, while shorter than previous ones, still promises to keep players engaged with fresh gameplay elements.
Rivals enthusiasts are drawn to the game for its fast-paced FPS action and stay for the unique weapons, and the new Gunblade fits perfectly into this mix. This versatile weapon serves as both a rifle for ranged combat and a giant blade for close encounters, offering players a strategic advantage in battle. The new Bridge map, designed by @GreatGuyBoom, enhances this experience by thrusting players into immediate close-quarters combat within a concrete arena suspended in Seoul, Korea. With minimal cover provided by a few walls and a bus, the map sets the stage for intense showdowns.
Notably, the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not include any specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life improvements. The developers at Nosniy Games made a conscious decision to focus solely on the new Bridge map and Gunblade, although they did make minor adjustments to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed a few other items. The team has assured fans that these other changes will be addressed in the next major content update, which will introduce the long-awaited Ranked feature.
"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the developers stated.

OTHER
The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
