Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the specifics.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three global cities throughout June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay features, and bonuses. In-person attendees will enjoy unique city-specific experiences. Tickets are required for participation.
Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for in-person events. The experience will closely mirror previous GO Fests.
Two More Pokémon GO Events in January
Beyond the GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two more exciting events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over
This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Highlights include:
- Rescuing Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
- The debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatchable from 12 km Eggs.
- Increased appearances of Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
- A chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots.
Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh
This event takes place on January 19th, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time). Participating in Five-Star Shadow Raids allows you to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants:
- Eight additional Raid Passes.
- Increased chances of Rare Candy XL.
- 2x Stardust.
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
- Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
- A chance to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
