Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-ups Open January 10th
The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test begins accepting registrations this Friday, January 10th! However, this initial beta will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in the Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, this network test offers a sneak peek at the upcoming title.
Limited Platform Availability:
While the game plans to launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in addition to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this initial test will only be available on the latter two platforms. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform play will be featured in the final game, or this beta.
How to Register:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
- Register, selecting your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025, the test's planned timeframe).
- Participate in the February 2025 network test.
What to Expect:
The beta is expected to be limited in capacity, with exact numbers yet to be revealed. Progress made during the test likely won't carry over to the full game. Further beta tests may follow, though this hasn't been confirmed.
Gameplay Limitations:
In addition to the platform restrictions, Elden Ring Nightreign will only support solo play or parties of three; two-player parties are not supported. Whether additional gameplay limitations will be present in the network test remains to be seen. Specific dates for the beta are expected soon.
