NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique YoRHa designs, but one weapon will resonate with Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.
Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata
The Engine Blade is located within the factory area, but not during the game's opening sequence. You'll need to progress the story until you return as 2B. Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides a quicker route. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.
Exiting the access point, veer right, following the path with a 2D camera perspective. You'll pass a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and ride a conveyor belt with crates. The subsequent belt features dangerous presses; carefully navigate to reach the next cylindrical area, where spider-like enemies await.
Enter the door to your left, climbing stairs while dodging exploding enemies. Midway, the railing ends, and the platform extends towards the camera. Shifting the camera angle triggers another 2D platforming section. Jump across the presses, following the left path. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest, with a locked chest on the right.
Caution: Exploding enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach.
