Big news for Netflix gamers! Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are leaving Netflix Games next month. This isn't a surprise; Netflix licenses games for a set period, and the 12-month agreement for these GTA titles is expiring on December 13th. You'll see a "Leaving Soon" tag on the games within the app.
These classic GTA titles have been available on Netflix Games for a year, bringing a dose of 90s nostalgia to subscribers. While their departure is imminent, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains on the platform.
Where to Play Next?
Don't fret! You can still enjoy the action. Both Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City's Definitive Editions are available for purchase on the Google Play Store for $4.99 each, or you can snag the entire trilogy for $11.99.
Unlike some previous game removals, Netflix is providing ample notice, a welcome change. Interestingly, this decision comes despite Netflix Games seeing a subscriber boost in 2023 thanks in part to the GTA trilogy.
There's speculation that Rockstar and Netflix are collaborating on potential future projects, possibly remastered versions of Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and Chinatown Wars. Fingers crossed!
