Disney Dreamlight Valley has officially launched its Lucky Dragon update, which introduces Mulan and Mushu as new NPCs in the Valley. For the last few weeks, Disney Dreamlight Valley has been teasing the June 26 update, which would not only invite players to experience a new Realm, but also implement improvements to the decorating system, kick off a new in-game event inspired by the theatrical release of Inside Out 2, and bring about the new Majesty and Magnolias Star Path with exclusive rewards, including hairstyles and outfits.
The last major event in the Disney Dreamlight Valley universe was the Dreamlight Parks Fest, which ran from May 15 to June 5 and offered activities that awarded players with exclusive event recipes and furniture themed after Disney Parks. Players were tasked with collecting Buttons, which would then be used to craft event-specific items such as Popcorn Buckets. In honor of Pride Month, Disney Dreamlight Valley also introduced a colorful collection of goodies fashioned after Pride flags, including Balloon Arches, Balloon Bouquets, Ear Headbands, and Popcorn Buckets.
As part of the Lucky Dragon update, which went live on June 26, a new Realm door has opened. Players can now participate in Mushu's training camp to awaken Mulan. Once Mulan is awoken, she will test the player's strength and endurance on the training grounds. After building them a home, players can invite Mulan and Mushu into the Valley and begin completing their companion quests. Mushu will need help setting up his Dragon Temple, while Mulan works to set up her Tea Stall, where players can obtain new recipe ingredients. As part of the Majesty and Magnolias Star Path, players can unlock a variety of Mulan-inspired items, including decorations, clothing, and elegant hairstyles.
Aside from a new Realm and new friends, the Lucky Dragon update brings new items to Premium Shop in the form of the Island Getaway House Bundle. Players can transform their Valley into a tropical paradise with Disney’s Lilo and Stitch-inspired decorations or hit the beach with Stitch in his brand-new, Parks-inspired Sun and Surf look. Memory Mania, an in-game event inspired by Inside Out 2, also begins from June 26. Players can search the Valley to collect Riley's hockey gear, trophies, and birthday cakes to spawn Core Memory Shards. Collecting enough shards to complete the Core Memories will unlock new emotion-themed animal companions.
In addition to all the exciting new content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley with the Lucky Dragon update, Remy is asking players to deliver daily orders for food to the Valley’s residents. If these tasks are completed successfully, Remy will reward them with Wrought Iron, which can be used to craft new wrought iron furniture to assemble an outdoor eating space at Chez Remy.
