Mother Nature: EcoDash, a new endless runner for Android, tackles environmental pollution head-on. Developed by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based arts organization, this game features a unique collaborative design process. Eleven to eighteen-year-old girls from Powered by CAN, a youth project, significantly contributed to the game's art style and mechanics.
What Makes Mother Nature: EcoDash Stand Out?
Players embody Mother Nature, a Black female scientist, tasked with purifying a polluted city and rescuing endangered animals from the clutches of Smog, the game's antagonist. Gameplay involves dodging pollution, collecting air purifiers to keep the smog meter low, and avoiding engulfment by toxic clouds. Beyond the core running and jumping mechanics, players undertake rescue missions, collecting animals and transporting them to a rainforest sanctuary.
BOM's objective was to create a fun and accessible way to educate players about climate change and air pollution. The game incorporates various power-ups, shields, and bonus items to enhance the experience.
Mother Nature: EcoDash offers a simple yet impactful message wrapped in engaging gameplay. Download it from the Google Play Store today!
