Hunt a New Monster!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second beta test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February!
Following the success of the initial beta, Monster Hunter Wilds returns with a second phase, providing another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
The second Open Beta Test runs in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This beta includes new content absent from the first, such as hunting the Gypceros, a series veteran.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, but progress won't be saved. Beta participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack for the full game.
"Many players missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently working to finalize the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed upcoming improvements, these won't be in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Happy hunting!
