Marvel Rivals Season 1: A New York City-Themed Map Expansion
Marvel Rivals Season 1 continues to expand its offerings with a wave of new maps themed around Marvel's New York City, complementing the addition of Fantastic Four heroes and cosmetics. Let's explore each new map:
Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
Launched at the start of Season 1, this Convoy map depicts a nighttime New York City under Dracula's Blood Moon. Designed for the game's payload mode, players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across the map. Key locations include iconic Marvel spots and real-world Midtown Manhattan landmarks:
- Baxter Building
- Grand Central Terminal
- Stark/Avengers Tower
- Fisk Tower
- Ardmore's Bookstore
- Timely Trend
This is the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.
Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum
This map, a unique rendition of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum, is the exclusive setting for the game's Doom Match mode—a free-for-all deathmatch. Top-performing players earn wins, with the highest scorer crowned MVP. The map faithfully recreates the mystical mansion, showcasing its iconic features, secrets, and easter eggs, including Bats the Ghost Dog.
Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park
Expected to launch in the latter half of Season 1, this map features a stylized Belvedere Castle, situated at one of Central Park's highest points. This Gothic architectural marvel provides a fitting backdrop for the Empire of Eternal Night theme, potentially serving as a hideout for Dracula.
These are all the confirmed new maps for Marvel Rivals Season 1. Stay tuned for updates!
