The possibility of Marvel Rivals launching on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, is now looking increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming console could alter the situation significantly.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The primary challenge remains ensuring consistent, high-quality performance on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch lacked the power for the gameplay experience we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 can handle it, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major game developers are expressing strong interest in the platform. Phil Spencer has suggested Xbox's intention to bring its game library to the Switch 2, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.
Marvel Rivals is also set for further expansion, with the addition of two Fantastic Four members anticipated in future updates.
