KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025
Sesisoft's popular RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025, marking the end of its nearly five-year run. Both global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, a potential silver lining exists: developers are exploring the possibility of releasing a limited offline version preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events. Further details on this offline version remain pending.
In-App Purchases and Refunds
Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. In-app purchases have been disabled since October 31st, 2024. Players can still utilize existing Quartz and in-game items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025, for eligible players.
A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days
Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a charming narrative, appealing visuals, and an engaging visual novel-style story mode, set in a world threatened by the Devil King's forces.
Despite its positive aspects, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days ultimately succumbed to the challenges faced by many gacha RPGs. Rising production costs and declining player engagement contributed to its closure, mirroring the fate of numerous anime-based games this year.
Players who haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days have a few months remaining to explore this title before its servers go offline. The game is available on the Google Play Store.
