Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this year. The official announcement, posted on Netmarble's forums, revealed that the game's servers will shut down on October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled, ceasing on June 26th, 2024.
Reasons for Closure:
King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, featuring numerous high-profile crossover characters and engaging PvP combat within the acclaimed King of Fighters franchise. Despite generally positive player reviews praising its animations and competitive gameplay, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the closure. Other undisclosed elements likely played a role as well.
The game did experience some setbacks, including optimization problems and occasional crashes, which understandably frustrated some players. Nevertheless, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.
Players still interested in experiencing the game have approximately four months remaining before the servers go offline. Download it from the Google Play Store and explore its legendary battles before October.
