Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal Debut: $16 Million in First-Month Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by a staggering 40 times, highlighting the game's immense popularity.
Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), the game launched in December 2024 and quickly captivated players. Its success stems from strong in-app purchases of cosmetic items, outfits, and other features.
Set in the captivating world of Miraland, Infinity Nikki follows Nikki and her cat, Momo, on a whimsical adventure. Players explore diverse nations, each with unique cultures. Nikki's outfits, powered by Whimstars, are crucial for solving puzzles and progressing through the story.
Boasting 30 million pre-registrations, Infinity Nikki made a significant impact before its official release. AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals impressive weekly earnings: $3.51 million in the first week, $4.26 million in the second, and $3.84 million in the third. While weekly revenue declined to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million. This surpasses Love Nikki's first-month revenue ($383,000) by over 40 times and significantly outperforms Shining Nikki's 2021 international launch ($6.2 million). Note that these figures only reflect mobile platform earnings.
Record-Breaking Success Fueled by China
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's success, accounting for over 5 million downloads (more than 42% of the total). This substantial player base significantly contributed to the game's financial triumph.
Daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, the day after launch. While daily earnings subsequently decreased, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th, a Version 1.1 update on December 30th spurred a significant rebound, boosting revenue to $665,000.
Infinity Nikki is currently available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The developers plan to maintain the game's momentum through regular updates and seasonal events, such as the Fishing Day Event, ensuring continued player engagement.
