Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs during his recovery.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson was found unconscious and barely alive in his hotel room last week after failing to appear at a charity event. His wife, Kim, was unable to contact him, prompting hotel security to intervene. Emergency responders had difficulty detecting a pulse.
The GoFundMe page describes Johnson's current condition: "Right now, Wes continues to battle for his life in an intensive care unit." The initial fundraising goal of $50,000 has been significantly surpassed, with over $144,791 raised from nearly 2,200 supporters.
Beyond his extensive video game work, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and boasts a diverse career in film and television. His contributions to Bethesda games are particularly noteworthy, including recent roles like Ron Hope in Starfield, and past iconic performances as Sheogorath in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes in Fallout 3, and Hermaeus Mora in Skyrim, among many others. The gaming community and his many fans are rallying around him and his family during this difficult time.
