HoYoverse's mobile action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending. This surpasses even the game's launch day revenue in July 2024.
AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter being offered free to players), enhanced game mechanics, and new content.
The Hoshimi Miyabi character banner proved particularly lucrative. Remarkably, the post-update revenue surge lasted longer than anticipated. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 days and stayed above $500,000 even after two weeks, defying the usual post-update spending decline.
While Zenless Zone Zero's performance is noteworthy, it still trails HoYoverse's other major titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
