Master the art of dual outfit utilization in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered! This guide details how to combine the benefits of two outfits, enhancing your gameplay experience.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Required
This dual outfit method is exclusive to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The game's recent patch introduced a transmog feature, enabling you to maintain the stats and effects of one outfit while visually displaying another.
Outfit Requirements
This technique has limitations. While one outfit choice is unrestricted, the second must be one of the following Banuk Werak outfits, obtained from the Frozen Wilds DLC:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)
Note: Access to the Frozen Wilds DLC is not contingent upon completing the main game.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept
Complete the "For the Werak" quest (Frozen Wilds' third main quest) to obtain the Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit. Consider lowering the difficulty if needed. The Adept version is acquired similarly, but only in New Game Plus.
Combining Outfit Effects
- Equip your primary outfit: This is the outfit with the desired stats, potentially enhanced with Weaves.
- Utilize the transmog feature: Apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. These outfits themselves don't provide additional stats, but offer a crucial passive healing effect after taking damage.
This strategy allows you to retain your preferred outfit's stats while benefiting from the auto-healing provided by the Banuk Werak outfits. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with a strong defensive outfit like the Shield-Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
