Exciting changes are on the horizon for Pokémon enthusiasts in Hiroshima! The Pokémon Center Hiroshima is set to close its doors at the end of March and will reopen at a new location in April 2025. Alongside this move, the much-anticipated Gyarados Plaza will launch at a new site this March. Let's dive into the details of these new locations!
Pokémon Center Hiroshima Moving to a New Location
The Pokémon Center Hiroshima, which has been a beloved destination since its opening in June 2015, will be relocating from its current spot on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building. The new location will be on the second floor of Ekie, at the north exit of Hiroshima Station, opening around April 2025. This move promises to bring the magic of Pokémon even closer to fans and visitors in the area.
Also Announces Gyarados-Themed Playground
Adding to the excitement, the "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" is set to open on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza in the new Hiroshima Station building, Minamoa. This unique space is designed to be a haven for Pokémon fans of all ages, featuring large play equipment modeled after Gyarados, the iconic Pokémon of Pokémon Center Hiroshima. The plaza will open its doors on March 24, 2025. For a limited time after its launch, reservations will be required to use the playground equipment, with more details to be shared on the official Minamoa website.
If you're planning a visit to Hiroshima, the Pokémon Center is open daily from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.
