Google Play Store may soon introduce a game-changing feature: automatic app launch upon download. This potential addition, discovered through an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19, is currently unconfirmed but tentatively named "App Auto Open."
The Details:
This feature, if implemented, would streamline the app installation process. Instead of manually locating and opening a newly downloaded app, it would automatically launch after a successful download. This would eliminate the extra steps and potential forgetfulness associated with newly installed apps.
The report from Android Authority suggests the feature will be entirely optional. Users will have complete control, enabling or disabling auto-launch as preferred.
How it Might Work:
Upon download completion, a brief (approximately 5-second) notification banner will appear at the top of the screen. The notification may also include a sound or vibration alert, ensuring visibility even during other activities.
Important Note:
This information is based on preliminary findings and lacks official confirmation from Google. A release date remains unannounced. We will provide updates as soon as official information becomes available.
