A keen-eyed Genshin Impact player has discovered Citlali's humble abode, a discovery shared on Reddit December 26, 2024. The location was revealed thanks to a clever observation within Citlali's character teaser video. Medkit-OW, the observant player, noticed a distinctive cliffside view in a scene where Citlali reads by a partially opened door.
This led them on a quest through the Tezcatepetonco Range, ultimately pinpointing Citlali's house south of the Masters of the Night-Wind. This discovery was quickly shared on Reddit, with some players suggesting it might be a lucky spot to wish for Citlali.
While the game's pull rates aren't actually influenced by location, many players in the Reddit thread see it as a fun, sentimental gesture. One user commented, "Even if it doesn’t affect results, it’s still a sentimental memory to pull a character in locations significant to them." Many are already preparing their wishes, saving pulls in anticipation of Citlali and Mavuika's arrival.
Citlali's house is currently accessible in-game, though players can't yet interact with or enter it. Interestingly, the graffiti depicted on her door in the teaser video is also missing from the current game version.
Citlali and Mavuika will be available from January 1st, 2025 to January 21st, 2025, with their debut coinciding with Phase 1 of Version 5.3.
A Wave of New Characters in 2025
Beyond Citlali and Mavuika, Genshin Impact players can also look forward to Lan Yan, appearing in Phase 1 of the Arlecchino and Clorinde banner from January 21st, 2025 to February 11th, 2025. The Pyro Traveler will also become available through progression in the new Natlan Archon Quests.
A December 20th, 2025, Twitter (X) post teased seven more new characters, sparking excitement among the fanbase. However, this announcement also prompted some discussion regarding the relatively small number of male characters, with several players requesting the addition of Capitano, the First of the Fatui Harbingers, as a playable character.
Genshin Impact's Version 5.3, "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection," launches January 1st, 2025, bringing a host of new content including weapons, outfits, quests, events, monsters, and various improvements to enhance the overall player experience.
