Hollow Knight: Silksong No-Show at Gamescom 2024
Silksong Skips Gamescom ONL, Confirms Geoff Keighley
Disappointment swept through the Hollow Knight community yesterday when Geoff Keighley, the producer of Gamescom, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Silksong, the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved Hollow Knight series, would not be featured at the event's Opening Night Live (ONL).
Hope had been reignited among fans after Keighley unveiled the initial lineup for the show, hinting at additional unannounced titles with a "+ More" addition to the list. This sparked widespread speculation that a much-anticipated update on Silksong, following over a year of silence, might finally be revealed.
However, those hopes were quickly extinguished when Keighley took to X to definitively rule out Silksong's appearance. "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL," the producer stated. He did, however, reassure fans that Team Cherry continues to diligently work on the game.
Despite the disappointment over the absence of Silksong news, Keighley offered fans something to look forward to with a lineup that includes exciting titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, and more!
