However, a controversy quickly arose concerning the Matte Black style, originally offered only to players using Xbox Series S|X consoles.
Initially advertised as permanently available, Epic Games' sudden announcement of its discontinuation sparked considerable backlash. Some players even threatened legal action, believing the move violated established terms.
Fortunately, Epic Games swiftly reversed course within 24 hours. The Matte Black style is now available to all Master Chief skin owners who play a single game on an Xbox Series S|X console. This seems to be the most sensible outcome, especially given the festive holiday season.
