Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix's Daredevil to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has sparked excitement about potential comebacks for other characters from the Defenders series. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist in the Netflix series, has expressed his enthusiasm and readiness to reprise his role. Jones last played Danny Rand in the second season of Iron Fist and in the crossover series, The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
Despite mixed reactions to his portrayal of Iron Fist, with some fans feeling less enthusiastic compared to other Defenders characters, Jones remains hopeful. The integration of Daredevil into the MCU has reignited interest in a potential revival of The Defenders, with reports suggesting Marvel is considering this possibility.
At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he received and expressed his desire to prove his detractors wrong. He stated, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the story from the Netflix series, which was part of a smaller-scale Marvel universe that included shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series, along with the broader Defenders narrative, are now officially part of the MCU canon and available on Disney+. Additionally, Jon Bernthal's Punisher, another character from the Netflix universe, will also appear in Daredevil: Born Again.
