Konami and FIFA's surprising esports collaboration: The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024!
The long-standing rivalry between FIFA and PES has taken an unexpected turn. FIFA and Konami's eFootball are joining forces for the FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024, a crossover no one saw coming.
In-Game Qualifiers on eFootball – Now Live!
The tournament features two divisions: Console (PS4 & PS5) and Mobile. Eighteen countries are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.
The three-part in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination Phases for the 18 countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.
The offline final round will take place late 2024; the exact date is yet to be announced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards like 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other bonuses.

An Unexpected Partnership
This collaboration is particularly noteworthy given the long history of competition between the two companies. Following EA's split with FIFA in 2022 (reportedly due to a significant disagreement over licensing fees), this partnership marks a surprising turn of events. EA subsequently released EA Sports FC 24 without the FIFA branding.
Download eFootball from the Google Play Store and participate in the current special event featuring Bruno Fernandes and an 8x match experience multiplier for faster Dream Team progression.
