Unlocking and Utilizing Your Free Company Submarine in Final Fantasy XIV
Diving underwater in Final Fantasy XIV, introduced in the Stormblood expansion, is exciting, but exploring via submarine is even better! This guide details how to obtain and utilize your Free Company's submarine.
Acquiring Your FC Submarine
First, ensure your Free Company (FC) exists and, ideally, has reached rank 6. This rank unlocks access to necessary vendors for purchasing Ceruleum Tanks. Reaching rank 6 is achievable through various in-game FC activities, including dungeon clearing, leveling, crafting, gathering, and turn-ins.
Next, locate the Company Workshop in your FC house. Interact with the schematic board to obtain the submersible recipe. Once you've gathered all required materials, craft the submersible using your FC's crafting log.
To embark on underwater voyages, you'll need Dive Credits. These are purchased from Resident Caretaker NPCs in the following housing districts (requires FC Rank 6 and costs 10,000 Company Credits each):
- Empyreum: X:10, Y:12
- Lavender Beds: X:12, Y:8
- The Mist: X:11, Y:11
- Shirogane: X:10, Y:14
- The Goblet: X:11, Y:10
Finally, register your submersible at the voyage control panel within the Company Workshop.
