Kai

Encountered early, Kai is your first true companion, joining your party upon reaching Dawnshore's port near Paradis. This fierce ex-mercenary, a formidable tank in combat, excels at both damage and defense. His fire abilities prove invaluable for removing obstacles and uncovering hidden treasures.

Kai's Upgradeable Abilities:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot, stunning and taunting a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and boosts damage reduction.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap, stunning and taunting nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives with 50% health upon reaching zero.

Marius

Marius, found in Dawnshore, shares history with Kai. An expert hunter and tracker, his skills enhance both exploration and combat. His "Hunter Sense" helps locate loot and crafting materials, while his bow, daggers, and nature-bending abilities make him a versatile fighter.

Marius' Upgradeable Abilities:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears to attack an enemy (up to 3 times).
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Attacks inflict bleed.

Giatta

Giatta, an animancer, joins your party later in the Emerald Stair region. Her magic provides crucial support in combat, healing, shielding, and buffing allies. Her "Spectral Jolt" ability activates Essence Generators, opening new paths and revealing hidden loot.

Giatta's Upgradeable Abilities:

• Purification (Active): Heals all allies.
• Barrier (Active): Provides temporary health to all allies.
• Acceleration (Active): Increases ally movement and attack speed.
• Reconstruction (Passive): Attacks heal allies slightly.

Yatzli

Yatzli, the final companion, joins in the Shatterscarp region. A damage-focused magic user, she excels at both single-target and area-of-effect attacks, and her spells also clear obstacles.

Yatzli's Upgradeable Abilities:
