Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 introduces a unique challenge: choosing to use or discard an Oni Mask for bonus XP. Unlike typical challenges, this one offers player agency. Here's how to complete the "decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it" quest.
This week's Fortnite quests include finding a hidden workshop, visiting Kento, and investigating a portal. The Oni Mask challenge is simpler: acquire either a Fire or Void Oni Mask. Masks are readily found throughout the game world and on eliminated players, making this a relatively easy 25k XP reward.
However, the challenge's wording, "decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it," is intentionally ambiguous. To complete it, simply either activate the Mask's power or remove it from your inventory.

While you can choose to keep the Mask, using it immediately is recommended. Other players are actively hunting for Masks, increasing your chances of elimination. Activating the Mask's power secures your XP and prevents needing to find another in a subsequent match.
