Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future with a time-traveling crossover event.
CSR2: A Trip Back to the Future
Starting now, players can add the iconic DeLorean Time Machine from the original film to their garage. While it lacks performance boosts or special abilities, the fully drivable DeLorean is a highlight of this exciting collaboration. Beyond the car, CSR2 offers a complete Back to the Future themed experience.
This immersive crossover includes a film-inspired in-game UI, a new storyline, and multiple events. Three flash events focusing on the DeLorean are planned, alongside a community competition. Zynga has confirmed additional themed events throughout the year, ensuring this isn't a one-off update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting social media quizzes with prizes; check their channels for details.

No 1955 Time Travel (Sadly!)
While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 (or 1999, for that matter), the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The opportunity to virtually drive the legendary DeLorean is exciting in itself.
Zynga's VP of Games, Sam Cooper, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, calling the DeLorean one of history's most recognizable and beloved movie cars. He highlighted the thrill of letting players race the iconic vehicle while celebrating the film's anniversary.
