Annapurna Interactive's mass resignation leaves some game projects unaffected. While the recent exodus of staff caused uncertainty for many partnered developers, several high-profile games appear to be continuing development without interruption.
Control 2, Wanderstop, and More Remain on Track
Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Control 2’s development continues, as they are self-publishing the title. Similarly, Davey Wreden and Team Ivy Road have assured fans that Wanderstop remains on schedule. Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, is also expected to proceed as planned, though the team acknowledges the loss of their Annapurna Interactive collaborators. Beethoven & Dinosaur also confirmed continued development on their anticipated title, Mixtape.
However, the future of other Annapurna Interactive projects, including Silent Hill: Downfall, Morsels, The Lost Wild, Bounty Star, and the internally developed Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, remains uncertain, pending further announcements from their respective developers.
Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison has pledged continued support for their developer partners, aiming to navigate this transition while maintaining their commitment to interactive entertainment.
